MEMBERS of the Homested Dog Training Club thought outside the kennel when it came to raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Rather than follow the charity’s traditional idea of being part of the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, they came up with something to keep their pooches entertained.
The highlight was a series of canine games but there was also home-made soup, scones, cakes, quizzes and a raffle during the event in Blendworth Church Centre on October 4.
Organisers Brenda Mizen, who lives in Clanfield, and Sarah Canham said: “Each year the club supports two charities – this year Canine Partners, in the summer, and Macmillan.
“About 20 people with their dogs met up and we made just over £300.
“All thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are now thinking up new challenges for 2020. Thanks to everyone who helped in any way.”
