A PETERSFIELD farmer has opened a fully fenced and safe dog walking field between the town and Harting so owners can enjoy stress-free walks with their pets.
Richard Caines of Heath Farm off Heath Road East opened the 4.5 acre paddock, Daisy Dog Meadow, so owners could relax while their dog runs free.
He said: “Only one dog is booked in for each session. But friends with dogs, or an owner with more than one dog, can hire it, but the maximum is three dogs at a time.
“There’s no livestock for dogs to chase, so it’s ideal for dogs with poor recall, or that get excited when they meet other dogs.
“And the meadow is surrounded by secure fencing so dogs are perfectly safe, they can’t get lost, or get ‘dog-knapped’.
“There’s also seats, dog poo bins, a hose for washing dogs off and for drinking water, and a field shelter with seats so owners can have a picnic, or just sit and enjoy the view.”
The secure field is under ten minutes from Petersfield, and there is hard surface car parking.
