East Hampshire District Council’s Senior Animal Welfare Officer has been invited to Australia to give a talk to dog wardens down under.
Neil Burton, who is also the Chairman of National Dog Warden Association, will travel to an international conference in Fremantle to give a presentation on the control of dangerous dogs in the UK.
He hopes his trip, paid for by the Western Australia Rangers Association, will give him the opportunity to learn from his peers in other parts of the world.
He said: “It’s a great honour to be asked to attend this conference and deliver a talk. Other countries sometimes have a very different take on dog ownership and regulation to us in the UK and it will be interesting to be able to compare our laws with others and see what we can learn from each other.”
