EAST Hampshire District Council is calling for residents to pay their outstanding council tax instalments by the end of March.
In 2014/2015, East Hampshire District Council at Penns Place in Petersfield ollected 98.7 per cent of Council Tax from residents.
Louise Bicknell, EHDC Recovery Manger, said the high collection rate is something we should all be proud of and good news for everyone.
“If everyone pays, then everyone pays less,” she said. “So we are calling for residents to pay their final outstanding Council Tax instalments by March 31.

In February EHDC announced it will be cutting its share of Council Tax by two per cent.
Council tax bills for the 2016/2017 year are now being sent out.
EHDC collects the tax in East Hampshire on behalf of Hampshire County Council, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Police and Crime Commissioner and parish and town councils.
