GARDENS large and small will be open to the public in East Meon on Sunday, including the primary school’s plot and the village allotments.

Another highlight of the annual East Meon Open Gardens, from 2pm to 5.30pm, will be a local farming history exhibition.

The East Meon History Group will be displaying local maps covering the rural surrounds, in the hall at The Court House.

Some gardens are new to the trail, and allotment holders will be answering gardening questions from visitors.

Homemade teas will be on sale in the church hall, and plants will be on offer too.

Proceeds will go towards hospice-at-home charity The Rosemary Foundation, which marks its 20th anniversary this summer.

Parking is on the village green.

There is a ‘rover ticket’ available to all gardens and allotments, at a cost of £5, and there is no charge for those under 16.
