A WINDBLOWN but happy team at Queen Elizabeth Country Park said their positive message to walkers was welcomed.
As part of a South Downs National Park Authority drive to make visits to the park more enjoyable, a team was out promoting a meet and greet message over Easter.
Parisa Everett was one of the South Downs team encouraging visitors at Queen Elizabeth Country Park to share a nod and a smile, a thank you or a hello.
She said: “Easter Sunday was interesting, very windy and blowy.
“But there were still people visiting the park, and Monday there were lots of families here.
“People were quite surprised we were there, saying hello and chatting to everyone. But it’s a positive message, one visitors really warmed to.
“Greeting people and making eye contact is a really positive thing, it makes the day much more pleasurable.”
South Downs Way National Trail Officer Andy Gattiker added: “With spring in the air, we’re sure that everybody will get into the spirit and pass the message on.”
Visitors can also share their national park photographs and experiences with the hashtag #sharethepath
