AN UPLIFTING eco film about how communities can wean themselves off fossil fuels is being shown in Petersfield.
The award-winning Tomorrow (Demain) by French directors Melanie Laurent and Cyril Dion, is being screened on Saturday, February 18, at 7pm in St Peter’s Hall, St Peter’s Road.
“This is a Cesar award-winning French documentary which has recently been translated,” said Julie Yardley of Petersfield Community Energy which has organised the film night. “It is not the usual doom and gloom type of film often associated with climate change.”
Telling a feel-good story was very much in the minds of the directors when they set about investigating solutions to the crisis in ten countries. During their journey they met the pioneers who are re-inventing agriculture, energy, economy, democracy and education.
