THE RECEPTION class at Churcher’s College Junior School received their first certificate of participation in outdoor education, having completed their first full day in the outdoor classroom.
They enjoyed making dough for campfire breadsticks, birdwatching and they even had a go at whittling some sticks in the morning. The afternoon brought even more exciting opportunities as they observed the campfire being lit and welcomed parents and nursery children to join in the fireside fun. Clay leaf printing and den making were some of the activities enjoyed during the afternoon. However, the main attraction was the campfire as everyone enjoyed twisting breadsticks on the fire, drinking cups of hot chocolate or warm apple and eating cookies.
