CHURCHER’S College Junior School put on a fundraising disco for all of its pupils, and it proved to be a fun evening.

Lannoy School of Performing Arts provided the choreography with Danni Lannoy leading the children and doing a marathon three hours of dancing.

The school community raised £1,028 towards the Wilderness Project, an initiative being led by the school’s head of outdoor learning Matthew Forbes.

Churcher’s College Junior School headteacher Ian Adams said: “Churcher College Junior School aims to be one of the leading schools in the country for outdoor learning which is fully integrated into the curriculum.

“Following the construction of our outdoor classroom last year and in parallel with the opening of our nursery in January 2017, the facilities for outdoor education at Churcher’s College Junior School continue to grow for all age groups.

“Hands-on, outdoor learning is such a key area of development for children’s learning in such a digital environment.”

Churcher’s College Junior School deputy headteacher Philipa Yugin-Power said: “Well done to all of the children and parents for their dancing and fundraising towards their school’s exciting project.”
