CHURCHER’S College Nursery School in Liphook is now complete.
The nursery opened its doors to pupils for the first time earlier this year. However, the nursery has since expanded.
The expansion at the site is now complete and the whole building is now open.
Churcher’s College Nursery School headteacher Annabel Knowles said: “I really feel the nursery is a home from home for the children.
“I wish I was three again and could come here.
“For the staff it is a home from home and there is a real sense of community. It feels like a little bit of heaven.
“There is something special here, a slice of magic. I’m so proud of it.”
Annabel also highlighted the number of different ways the children learn.
She said: “We are all about healthy eating here and we get the children to be adventurous with their food.
“Music also plays a big part of our learning, and it is vital for the children’s development. We like to have flexibility as part of what they do.
“Outdoor learning and soft play is also important, and the children have building blocks which they can use to explore with.
“We now have a front and back garden so the children have even more space to explore in.”
The nursery school is at the same site as Churcher’s College Junior School, and the headteacher believes that has its advantages.
She said: “The children can see their older brothers and sisters and it helps them settle in here.
“It is nice being on the same site and we take part in whole school events.
“We also do a lot of transition work to help the children with the transition to the junior school.
“Everyone is in the same place and the nursery is the newest part of the Churcher’s family.”
