Ditcham Park School to host outdoor classes event

HIGHLIGHTS of a conference at Ditcham Park School aimed at encouraging more schools to hold ‘outdoor’ classes will include discovering how to use sheep to teach maths and science.

Hosted by the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA), the event will promote the benefits of holding outdoor classes at centres such as Butser Ancient Farm.

SDNPA spokesman Amanda Elmes said: “The national park is an amazing teaching resource. This is a great opportunity to discover how teachers and learning providers are using it to bring the entire curriculum to life.”
