PUPILS turned codebreakers as a school visitor brought in a very special, and historic, piece of equipment.

Tom Briggs from Bletchley Park, the wartime code and cypher school, wowed students at Bedales Prep School, Dunhurst, with an Enigma machine, which played a huge part in Britain’s success in the Second World War.

The youngsters sent messages on the machine and learned about codes and cyphers.
