Rodborough School principal Emma Hunston has paid tribute to students' "resilience" after the Milford-based secondary smashed the national averages.

She said: “These students have demonstrated resilience throughout their time at school and these results are a testament to their efforts and dedication to their studies.

Eighty per cent of all grades at Rodborough were at a Grade 4 or above with 29 per cent at a Grade 7 or above, compared to the national figures of 68 per cent and 22 per cent.

Fifty-five per cent of students achieved a Grade 5 and above in both English and maths.

Thirty-one students gained at least eight full course passes at grade 7 and above. Grace D attained a full set of Grade 9s in 11 subjects and Finn P achieved 12 subjects at Grades 9-7 with 10 subjects at Grade 9.

In addition Ben S, Zara P, Toby H, Charlie H, Chloe C, Imogen S, Lola R, Izzy R, Alex M, Sophie H, Luka D, Keira D, Millie D and Anna B all gained at least 10 Grade 7s or above.

Mrs Hunston added: "We wish every student all the best as they move on to the next stage of their education or into employment."
