Liphook school children dress up for World Book Day

THE CHILDREN of the Federation of Liphook Infant and Junior School were challenged to dress up as a book character of their choice to celebrate World Book Day.

Due to the snow, the date of the challenge was moved from March 1 to March 8.

As always, the children’s creativity, ingenuity and sense of fun was amazing – and with the staff joining in and dressing up too, a great day was had by all.

Certificates were given to those children whose costumes stood out.

Executive headteacher at the Federation of Liphook Infant and Junior School, Michele Frost, said: “Reading is such an integral part of the children’s education, and it was wonderful to see the effort that had been made with the fabulous costumes.

“This year’s book week, organised by Mrs Brown and Miss Brooks, our English leaders, was full of exciting activities and events which opened up the fabulous world of books to all of our students.”
