CHURCHER’S College Junior School has won first prize in a performance poetry competition which was held at Holme Grange School, Berkshire.

The Year 5 and 6 children performed Michael Rosen’s poem ‘No Breathing in Class’ with hilarious choreography and effects. The children confidently used their voices and bodies to good effect to create different tone and sounds throughout the poem.

Class teacher Mrs Roberts said: “The children did very well as they were competing against older children up to Year 8. They worked well as a team and gave a fabulous performance full of good humour and fun. I was very proud of them all.”
