Children from Langrish Primary School in Stroud have been shortlisted in the Global Canvas children’s art competition run by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.

Nineteen children from Years 5 and 6 worked with staff to produce an exhibit inspired by endangered ocean species and made mostly from recycled materials.

The group will travel to the Natural History Museum in London on March 13 to display their art along with other entrants.

Headteacher Sarah Wright said: “The theme for 2020 is Endangered, which fits perfectly with our efforts to support the global goals for sustainability by becoming a single-use plastic-free school.”
