AS SCHOOLS made a steady return to learning, staff and pupils had to find new ways to continue activities.
At Rogate School, children and staff would previously gather for assemblies in the school hall.
But to keep to the social distancing rules, they instead opted for an outdoor sing-along session.
“We kept the children in their class bubbles, but were still letting them share a feeling of community by singing together,” said Rogate teacher Christine Ward.
“Our local neighbours from the Parsonage estate told our rector, Father Edward Doyle, how much they have enjoyed hearing the children singing as the sounds drifted across our field into their gardens.”
