PETERSFIELD charity Fitzroy is proud to announce that 13 people with learning disabilities it supports have gained vital qualifications.

Gabe Fulford, FitzRoy Rural Skills Service Manager said: “Having a learning disability doesn’t stop you from achieving your goals, and gaining qualifications.

“This has been proved by the people supported by us at our Rural Skills service in East Meon Sustainability Centre, where 13 people will receive certificates of excellence after passing Asdan Accredited courses in horticulture.

“These qualifications not only bring great personal pride to the individuals graduating, they can lead to paid employment, and a greater quality of life.

“Working through these Asdan courses has been challenging and demanded commitment from the people we support. They’ve really proved themselves and taken enormous pride in their work. It is wonderful to see them learn and develop skills that will be useful throughout their lives.”
