THE PURE and plaintive vocals of Edwina Hayes will be adding elegance to Grayshott Folk Club as the acclaimed singer songwriter performs her folk/Americana there on Saturday, February 27, at 7.30pm.

Edwina plays guitar, sings and writes beautiful songs, taking the audience on a journey through the emotions.

One of her songs - Pour Me A Drink - has been covered by Nanci Griffin and her has supported artists such as Van Morrison and Jools Holland.

She teamed up with folk legends Fairport Convention at the Farnham Maltings in January 2014.

Her songs cover a range of topics, some humdrum and other momentous.

Said Des O’Byrne of the Grayshott Folk Club, which meets in the village hall:?“We now know what to expect with Edwina: songs, stories and some wonderful singing and guitar playing.

“She will make you laugh, she might even make you cry, but whatever she does, you will be royally entertained by one of Yorkshire’s finest contemporary singer songwriters.

Edwina has visited Grayshott twice before, as a support act.
