An East Hampshire District Council scheme to help residents improve the energy-efficiency of their homes has been extended.
The project, originally due to end in August 2015, will now run until March 2016 and financially supports residents installing energy-saving home improvements - as well as offering helpful guidance.
Through the Cosy East Hampshire scheme people in rented properties and homeowners can receive 50 per cent cashback on the installation of solid wall insulation and 25 per cent cashback on a range of other measures including a new boiler, insulation and double glazing.
A £5,000 cashback is also on offer for park home owners who sign up to install external wall insulation.
Those in receipt of certain benefits may also now be eligible for 100% cashback for measures they install.
Cllr Adam Carew, East Hampshire District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Environment, said: “I’m really pleased that we’re continuing to help residents cut the amount of energy they use.
“Making your home more energy-efficient not only cuts your bills, but also reduces your home’s impact on the environment.
“If you’re thinking about making some improvements to your home, get in touch and see how much we can help.”
