VOLUNTEERS at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) have made a powerful impression on pre-school staff.

They gave up their time and energy to install a vegetable garden at Clanfield Community Pre-School.

The addition will give children the chance to grow their own produce while teaching them about where their food comes from. Chair of the pre-school’s committee Kirstie Pearson hopes the development will inspire a new generation of gardeners.

She said: “With just two week to go until the pre-school reopened, SSEN have really saved the day for us.

“We can’t wait to see all the children enjoying the new outside space.”
