One of East Hampshire’s most popular open spaces will host an afternoon of gratuitous sax this Saturday (August 16).
The popular Music in the Park programme continues in Alton with Saxophony performing in the Public Gardens from 2pm to 4pm.
The Hampshire band is a group of 20 saxophonists which was founded in 2010 and is based in Chandlers Ford.
They play pop, jazz, Latin, swing, film and TV themes arranged for four to 12 parts and played on soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxes.
Audiences can expect everything from ABBA hits to the Thunderbirds theme song. Their Alton performance will be the penultimate show in the Music in the Park programme, with Blue Sky Big Band wrapping things up on August 23.
