GET active outside and indoors in Whitehill & Bordon as part of next week’s Spring into Health activities.

Activities will include a walk in Woolmer Forest on Sunday (April 24) and a wide range of Zoom-based activities for people at home.

Join a talk on taking control of your mental health on Monday (April 25) at The Beehive and take part in a Bioblitz session at Longmoor Inclosure on Friday (April 29), seeing how many species of wildlife you can spot in 90 minutes.

Councillor Julie Butler, East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) deputy leader and portfolio holder for welfare and community integration, said: “One of the things that the pandemic showed, with the phenomenal success of PE with Joe and other online exercise classes, is that you don’t have to leave home to stay fit.

“That said, I’m hoping for some lovely weather this week so people can enjoy all of the events in the beautiful natural environment we have in Whitehill & Bordon.”

The month-long Spring into Health event, held in Whitehill & Bordon, offers residents of all ages a chance to try a new activity, pick up a new skill and make a few new friends along the way.

Co-ordinated by EHDC, the packed calendar of more than 80 events includes kids’ clubs, cookery classes, woodland walks, grow your own gardening and even a pie and pint evening.
