Sheet Film Club will screen 1980 movie The Blues Brothers at Sheet Village Hall on December 18 at 7.30pm.

This cult American musical action comedy, set and filmed in Chicago, stars John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd, and was directed by John Landis.

It is a story of redemption for Jake Blues, on parole after three years of a five-year armed robbery sentence.

Jake and brother Elwood set out on "a mission from God" to prevent the foreclosure of the Roman Catholic orphanage which raised them.

The bar opens at 7pm and snacks can be ordered at the door from The Queens Head for the interval. Tickets can be bought in advance - priced £4 members, £6.50 non-members - at https://webcollect.org.uk/sheetfilms, or on the door.
