Alton Art Society’s Thursday Paint Group is holding an exhibition at the Allen Gallery in Alton from Saturday until January 28.

Inspired on Thursdays showcases the varied interests and artwork of the members of the Alton Art Society Thursday Paint Group, from portrait to landscape, from still life to painting en plein air, in various media.

Most of their exhibits will be for sale. On certain days artists will be painting on site and will be happy to answer questions. The gallery is open every day except Monday from 10.30am to 4pm and refreshments are available.

The Thursday Paint Group was set up in 2004 to provide an informal and regular space for any society members to drop in and work in the company of other artists.
