Petersfield Museum’s extensive photographic archive holds more than 100,000 photographs of life in the town of Petersfield and the surrounding villages.

With some of them dating as far back as the Victorian period, these photographs represent all areas of life in Petersfield.

They also act as a window to look into the Petersfield of days gone by.

This photograph from 1962 shows three men enjoying beer and holding flowers while wearing fancy dress at Petersfield’s Water Carnival.

Do you recognise any of these three men?

Do you know what was the story behind this photograph?

If so, we would love to hear from you.
