A NEW seasonal fantasy adventure story for the whole family is being performed in Havant this week.
The young members of Havant Dynamo Youth Theatre have spent their Christmas holidays rehearsing for the premiere of ‘Daisy and Marvin Save the Day’.
This has been written by Chichester playwright Greg Mosse, with musical arrangements by John Gleadall.
It can be enjoyed at St Faith’s Church Hall, The Pallant, Havant, from Wednesday, January 6, until Saturday, January 9, with performances at 7.30pm and a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday.
In the show, in a land without cars, phones or guns, Daisy and Marvin live peacefully with their family and friends in a fishing village by the sea.
Out of the blue, the village is attacked by an army of Thugs, boys exiled from the town, led by the mysterious Prince.
Daisy and Marvin flee through the forests and farms with the Thugs close behind. In the town they meet the Beggars, the Courtiers and a very unhappy Queen.
Marvin is taken prisoner. No one wants to help Daisy get him back. The Thug army approaches. Can Daisy and Marvin save the day?
This production, directed by Andrew Bowker, promises to appeal to all ages.
Tickets are £8, £6 concessions, available from www.dynamoyouththeatre.com or from 023 9245 4244.
