SCORES of Buriton children were delighted when Father Christmas arrived on a decorated trailer towed by a vintage tractor.

Santa, and his elves, visited the Buriton Ducklings Childcare Group before driving past the village primary school where children packed the playground to wave.

“It was the icing on the Christmas cake,” said group founders Jade Styles and Emma Foster of Buriton.

Each Duckling received a book and sweets – and there were treats at the school, too.

The visit was arranged by Jade and Emma with help from Jade’s father Chris, her partner Mathew, brother-in-law Graham and Paul and Steve from Bolinge Hill Farm.
