Petersfield Museum’s extensive photographic archive holds over 100,000 photographs of life in Petersfield and the surrounding villages.

Dating as far back as the Victorian period, these photographs represent all aspects of life in Petersfield.

They act as a window into Petersfield in days gone by, sparking memories in people who were around at the time and giving an insight into the past to those born in more recent years.

This photograph shows a young man strutting his stuff at the Young Farmers’ Club Dance in 1962.

Do you recognise this dancing king? Were you a young farmer in the local area?

If so, we would love to hear from you.
