MORE than £1,000 was raised in support of stroke victims in the area, thanks to a successful fayre.
The annual summer fayre at Petersfield Community Centre raised money for the Petersfield Stroke Support Group.
It included live music by Sentimental Journey and the Square Strummers Ukulele Band on Saturday, as well as refreshments, a raffle and tombola.
Chairman of the Petersfield Stroke Support Group Maureen Gilbert said: “It went very well. We do this to try and spread the word that we are there.
“When you have a stroke in the family, it’s devastating. We help to point people in the right direction and help them to stay positive.”
