A developer is seeking feedback from people in a south of Butser community as it looks to build 120 houses next to a woodland site.
Taylor Wimpey is keen to build in Lovedean with the Cottage Farm site north of James’s Copse being eyed up for dozens of new homes.
The housebuilder believes a new estate on the greenfield site will form a “logical extension” to the village given the recent developments further up Lovedean Lane.
But they want local feedback before lodging a planning application so they’re holding a consultation event this Thursday (July 17) at Jubilee Hall in Horndean.

Attendees will be able to see “the detail” of the proposals, ask questions and give feedback to members of the project team from 2.30pm to 8pm.
If the “landscape-led” estate becomes a reality, access will come via Blackthorn Avenue while 38 per cent pf the new homes will be affordable.
The housing initially proposed ranges from two-bedroom maisonettes to detached four-bedroom homes with the housebuilder proclaiming a vision to “create an attractive residential environment”.
Residents unable to attend can make comments at https://twlovedean.co.uk/feedback with the website also featuring early details about the scheme.
