HUNDREDS braved the chill to enjoy a kind of magic at Petersfield Rugby Clubs first music festival, PFest, held on the Penns Place playing fields. Headline act was the Queen tribute band, Queen II, and support acts were led by Petersfield band of the moment, The Von Lugars. The Heathrow Jets and The Whistle Test Revival also turned in rousing performances. In between bands DJ and club member Harley-DJ-Orr kept the enthusiastic crowd warm with a varied mix of tunes. Steve Shaw of the rugby club posted on Facebook : “When Glastonbury came to Petersfield ! What a brilliant night at PFest at the rugby club...great bands, great friends, great fun.... The Von Lugers, Heathrow Jets and Queen2 all smashed it.” PFest celebrated 20-years of the Petersfield Rugby Sevens Tournament, held on Bank Holiday Sunday, and it is hoped the seven hour music festival may become an annual event.
