LISS Triangle Centre is preparing for its beer and music festival on Saturday.

The Oktoberfest event will run from 6-11pm, and will feature live music from Elsa Jean McTaggart and Rehab Blues.

There will be a selection of ten beers and two ciders, and the bar will be selling wine and soft drinks. Food will also be available.

The Triangle Centre has previously run two beer festivals in August, but this year will be the first time that the event has been held in October.

Tickets cost £5 and are available from the Triangle in advance or on the night. Beer tokens cost £1.50.

The Triangle is still looking for sponsors for some of the beers, and it costs £50 to sponsor a barrel.

Anyone who is interested should contact Liss Triangle Centre manager Karen Feeney by calling her on 01730 301000.

It promises to be a busy weekend for the Triangle Centre, which is hosting a children’s Hallowe’en disco on Sunday.

The disco for children up to seven years old will be held from 2-4pm.

Parents and carers are required to stay, and the cafe will be open for adults.

The disco for children between eight and 12 years old will be held from 5-7pm.

The bar and cafe will be open for parents and carers.

Both discos will have a fancy dress competition, games and a tuck shop.

Tickets for either disco cost £4, and include unlimited squash for the children.

Tickets are on sale from the Triangle office between 9am and 1pm on weekdays.

Anyone who wants more information on the beer and music festival or the children’s Hallowe’en discos should visit the Triangle Centre’s website at: www.liss-triangle-centre.org.uk or call 01730 301000 for further details.
