ST JOHN’S Church in West Meon was well and truly spruced up for its Christmas Tree Festival and Mini Market last weekend.

Visitors were wowed by 24 trees decorated by groups and organisations in the village.

Trimmed with tinsel, baubles, home-made decorations, flowers, photographs and more by the primary school, parish council, shops and businesses, the trees were lined up in the church for the two-day event, helping to raise cash.

There were also festive goodies to buy at the market, and a carol service on Sunday.

The top raffle prize was a fresh free range turkey.
