PREPARATIONS are well under way for the popular Liss Christmas Fair.

However, a significant change has been made to the format this year.

The event has traditionally always taken place on a Wednesday evening, but this year’s fair will take place from 4-6pm on Saturday, December 1.

Katie Kempster, who is helping to organise the fair, said: “After feedback from the local community, this year’s annual event will be held on Saturday, December 1, between 4pm and 6pm.

“This change in day and time will allow for more families to enjoy the festive entertainment and stalls.

“This year we have 37 stalls ranging from local charities, organic body care, and homemade crafts to tasty Christmas puddings.

“We will also have Santa’s Grotto, a mini Christmas tree farm, trampolines and bouncy castles, plus performances from Liss School Choir, Liss Community Choir and Liss Band.

“In addition, the local traders in Station Road will be open to welcome customers new and old to celebrate the start of Christmas.

“Be sure to come down and enjoy the festivities and support the local community.”

The road closure application already has been submitted and agreed for this year’s Christmas Fair event in Liss.

The Triangle Centre will also be taking part in the event, and will be hosting a number of stalls.

Mulled wine and mince pies will also be available at the Triangle Centre.

Tickets will also be sold at the Triangle Centre for the Christmas raffle, and the draw will be held at the centre at 1pm on Friday, December 14.
