A CONCERT being given by the gemini consort on Saturday, March 11, at 7.30pm, in St Peter’s Church is enticingly entitled Music of Solace and Tranquility.

One is by Pergolesi for female voices and the other by the writer of marvellous melodies, Schubert.
The programme also features music by Purcell, Gluck, Mozart and brilliant contemporary Scottish composer James MacMillan, whose music is said to be evocative, poignant and immediately appealing to its audience.
There will also be solo instrumental works for recorder, flute and trumpet.
The concert is free, with a retiring collection for The Rosemary Foundation hospice-at-home charity.
