A COMPANY raised more than £2,000 at a clay pigeon shoot to start a fundraising drive which it’s hoped will raise more than £15,000 for the William Wates Memorial Trust.

The shoot, hosted by Alitex on April 28, at Meon Springs, saw almost 100 people take part. There was also an opportunity to win raffle prizes, which included a fly-fishing day at Meon Springs.

The fundraising campaign will culminate in 16 Alitex employees, including managing director Tom Hall, taking part in the two-day, 240-mile Le Loop 2018, cycling stages of the Tour de France.
