Kenyan students are getting secondary education thanks to a first class event near Petersfield which raised nearly £20,000 for charity.
The Trustees of Watoto Trust raised £19,222 following their two-day Christmas Fair at The Tithe Barn in Ditcham.
The final total was recently confirmed with proceeds being split between The Rosemary Foundation, Cocking Church Restoration Fund and the Watato Trust founded by Sarah Green.
“It’s lovely to think that people in Hampshire have come together to raise money for a community in Kenya,” said Sarah, who was brought up in the African country.
“During the last 19 years the trust has provided funds for secondary education for over 200 children who would not otherwise have been able to go to school.”
