IT’S already a cracking night out, but now the Petersfield Comedy Club is moving up in the world.

It has enjoyed 16 very successful years at the Folly Downstairs in the High Street, but it is moving to the Folly Upstairs from this month’s club night on Monday, March 6, at 8.30pm.

Organiser Chaz Collett of Barking Mad Comedy is delighted with the move.

“Many people know what a fantastic space the Upstairs venue is, with its beautiful exposed beam ceiling adding great warmth to the room. The acoustics are excellent, there are no pillars to block the view and, probably most important of all, there’s more seating.”

He is bound to get plenty of bums on those seats on Monday, with more quality acts.

Opening act is Julian Deane who couldn’t make last month’s club as his car broke down en route.

Wordsmith Munnya makes a welcome return with his poetry for the middle section of the evening. And headliner is Geoff Norcott (pictured) who will be dropping off in Petersfield as he embarks on a tour.

Says Chaz:?“Geoff is quite simply one of the most in-demand live comics and TV?writers around.”

He has guested on TV?comedy shows and won a medal for his work gigging on the frontline in Afghanistan.

Tickets are £6 in advance from the Folly Bar and £7 on the door.
