TWO TOP professional musicians from London will perform at a lunchtime recital hosted by Petersfield Area Schools’ String Orchestra (PASSO).
Open to all, and free, in The Studio@TPS, at 12.45pm on Saturday, June 17, the concert will feature Lucy Armstrong on voila and violin and Felicity Cliffe on cello.
This promises to be an inspiring concert for young string players, and those interested in joining an orchestra, but will be equally interesting for an adult audience with, among other pieces, Beethoven’s intriguingly named Eyeglasses Duo.
Boccherini’s Sonata for Violin and Basso, and selections from Bruni’s Six Viola Sonatas will also be performed.
After an all-day playday on June 17, PASSO will give its final concert of the season, at 4.30pm, which will be an exciting mix of its repertoire, ranging from Bach and Handel, through Haydn’s Chorale and Presto to selections from Lloyd Webber’s Cats, and much more. This is free too.
