A?CAMPAIGN to give Hampshire its own flag has been unfurled, with draft designs tried out on the top of Butser Hill.
Mike Jacobs, who lives in Canada now, was back in the county where he grew up, flying his idea up the proverbial flagpole.
The 48-year-old is keen to have a county flag registered in honour of his late father, a proud Hampshire man whose favourite spot was Butser Hill.
Mike’s favoured design includes the rose and crown featured on?Hampshire County Council’s flag with a blue, white and green background, representing the landscape.
But he also likes the idea of a competition where people could submit their designs.
