AFTER a refit due to flood damage, the Rowans Hospice shop in the High Street, Petersfield, has reopened today (Monday).

The popular charity shop has been closed since the first week of August, with the damage causing the loss of fixtures and fittings and some stock in the basement office.

This had meant a “substantial” amount of money lost to the charity’s coffers, said retail area coach Katie Green, who was in the store to help celebrate the reopening.

“The shop is really important to us,” said Katie.

With the relaunch has come a fresh new look, with new hospice logo, and an extensive selection of autumn clothing. Menswear is being showcased, along with designer brands.

Shop manager Joanna Allison said she was delighted to be welcoming back loyal customers and new ones.

“We had had a lot of support, and we are very happy to be open again. I hope customers enjoy the new experience of the shop,” she said.

She is seeking shop volunteers for various shifts. Drop into the shop for a chat.
