RADIO 4 devotees will be delighted no doubt with ‘An Audience with The Reverend Richard Coles’.

Coming to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford on Tuesday, February 7, this entertaining show promises to bridge the gap between pop music and the pulpit.

Richard is probably best known as the regular host of Radio 4’s’ Saturday Live’ programme but he also appears on ‘Newsnight’ and TV panel shows such as ‘QI’ and ‘Have I Got News for You’.

A multi-instrumentalist who partnered Jimmy Somerville in the 1980s band The Communards, achieving three Top Ten hits, he subsequently left the pop world to train as a priest.

A thoroughly modern vicar, he has been chaplain to the Royal Academy of Music and is currently the parish priest at Finedon near Peterborough.

He will be sharing his fascinating story, answering audience questions and discussing his latest book ‘Bringing in the Sheaves’.
