Children from Froxfield CE School returned for the start of the academic year, proudly wearing uniform that bears their new logo.

Froxfield is in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the South Downs National Park, sitting on high ground, and governors wanted to create a new brand epitomising the school’s unique educational offering within its rare and beautiful environment.

The new frog logo is steeped in village history with ‘Frox’ meaning ‘a stream with frogs’, and Felde ‘a forest clearing’, explaining the origins of the name.

Headteacher Vickie Farrow said: “I am delighted with the new logo. It reflects our close links with the local community, of which the school is central, along with our educational ethos that focuses on the outdoor environment and respect for our planet.”

The new branding can be seen on the school’s website, uniform and all school communications.

Heidi, a school pupil, said: “I love the new logo and especially the PE top. It is comfy and has a big frog on the back. I love frogs!”
