DOG BANDANAS may sound like a barking idea, but they have raised £300 for Hounds for Heroes.
The bespoke headgear for pooches, made by staff at Hays Travel in Petersfield, has proved very popular, with all the profits going to the charity.
A cheque for £302 from the proceeds was presented to Allen Parton of Hounds for Heroes at the travel agent offices in the High Street on Saturday (February 4).
Said Allen: “The level of support the charity receives is overwhelming at times, and every penny received makes a huge impact on our ability to create and provide life-changing Hounds to our injured service personnel. Hays Travel we salute you.”

Hays manager Fiona Jeffrey and apprentice Charmaine Gregory use their own dogs, border terrier Woody and Staffie cross Miley to try out and model the bandanas.
Fiona said the fabric used can feature everything from checks to bones, and she has been adding bells, applique and embroidery.
