A PETERSFIELD refugee aid group is hosting a charity walk in aid of refugees, including lone children already living in East Hampshire.
Rural Refugee Network (RRN) was launched in 2014 with the aim of providing homes for genuine Syrian refugees, including unaccompanied children, and helping them until they become English fluent and self-supporting.
Last year the group organised a very successful fundraising walk from Buriton, and a rerun is planned, but this time the circular walk leaves from Elsted village hall at 10am on Sunday, February 5.
Walk organiser Kay Summerfield said: “It’s a walk for all the family and about a couple of miles long and not to hilly, and there will be homemade tea and cakes afterward.”
To take part, a £10 donation is suggested for families, but Kay says people can give what they feel comfortable donating.
