WARMING festive refreshment will be on offer to visitors to Gilbert White’s House on Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4.
The popular Mulled Wine Weekend returns with live entertainment, festive activities and treats, traditional wassailing, Christmas shopping, and steaming, spiced glasses of the good stuff.
This event, from 10.30am to 4.30pm, is a good opportunity to browse the shop at the Selborne attraction for unique gifts and stocking fillers.
And the lovely Tea Parlour there will be offering hot drinks, home-made soups and Christmas fare.
Another event not to be missed at Gilbert White’s is a double bill on Saturday, December 10, of The Snow Queen, Hans Christian Anderson’s magical fairytale, and A Christmas Carol, the Charles Dickens classic.
Tickets for performances are £12 for adults and £8 for children for both shows.
There is Christmas Storytelling too, on Saturday, December 18, from 10am to 11am or 1pm to 2pm. Make a lantern and enjoy traditional tales, with refreshments. The cost of £3 per child.
