PETERSFIELD’S Giant Easter Charity Market has been hailed as one of the best in its 30-year history, raising nearly £3,000 for good causes.
Organisers, brothers Jeremy and Martin Holmes were thrilled with the amount raised.
The main beneficiary will be Portsmouth Hospitals Rocky Appeal, which will receive a record £1,200.
Other charities which benefited from the market in the Festival Hall included The Rosemary Foundation, which raised more than £280, and East Petersfield Community Group, whose members raised £210 for projects such as the street watch patrol.
Petersfield brothers Luke and Joe Tully, who both go to Herne Junior School, ran a tombola for the Royal Marsden Hospital cancer charity, raising £115.50.
They are fundraising in memory of their aunt and have already booked a stall at the Giant Christmas Market.
