Plans to add a glazed gazebo to the side of a pub in Liss Forest have been submitted to the South Downs National Park Authority.

The mercury may be rising but the owners of The Temple Inn are thinking well beyond summer.

They want to turn part of the raised seating area beside Forest Road into an enclosed space for year-round use.

The proposals include adding a modest steel-framed “gazebo structure” with folding doors and floor to ceiling windows to the side of the building.

“It’s to make more space and it will help us in winter, as it will be heated,” said Dora Kover, who took over the pub with husband, Zoltan, two and a half years ago.
