FUNDRAISERS have splashed the cash in a ‘fantastique’ tribute to a rugby-loving student from Sheet and the charity launched in her name.

The team raised more than £3,200 for the charity after swimming 42 miles – more than 2,700 laps – in the much-cleaner waters of the Churcher’s College pool.
The charity was launched in Maddy Lawrence’s name with the aim of fostering and building confidence and self-belief in young women through the values of rugby.
The 20-year-old daughter of Simon and Karen died in March after developing an infection following a rugby injury.
